I'll hold onto the fact that they never found the plane or the body.The game is a standalone expansion to Saints Row IV, meaning players do not need a copy of Saints Row IV to play Gat out of Hell. Hopefully he will come back in SR4 though, assuming the Zombie Gat unlock after clearing the story is just for fun.
I just really hate that they didn't give a proper sendoff to arguably the most important and best character in the series. The fact that he doesn't come back is probably the biggest disappointment of the story, which was overall fun and pretty good.
I was expecting Johnny to come back at some point and make a grand entrance because they really didn't address his death very much. Why is Johnny dead? The news report says the plane wreckage wasn't found, and its the second mission of the game and its all sort of casual joking, and then his "funeral" happens where they don't talk about Johnny at all or show anything besides some girl cutting the ribbon on a new bridge, and then that's it besides a bit of mourning. I suppose he did attack during Johnny's funeral? Was that his funeral? The girl opening a bridge? Pretty sure it was because Shaundi got upset over them ruining his funeral. The French (Belgian) guy that was the leader of the Syndicate was the one who killed Johnny, and the one who took over all the Saint's territory and stole all their money. And honestly, what is the main characters motives for going after Killbane? What did he even do? Nothing. Even if Killbane escapes, you could easily hunt him down and kill him later, its not like the dude is very smart at all, he won't hide very well if at all.
There's no reason to ever go after Killbane, its a fake choice really.
Its just an actor playing killbane in the Gangstas in Space part, same with Johnny Gat being there, since he died =( And yeah, the ending kind of really sucks.
